Coping with the current academic career in a context characterized by worrying scenarios - job insecurity, lack of emotional and cognitive holdings, etc. - is affecting students’ de-cision-making. This research assesses a path model in which self-regulated learning strategies mediated the relationship between metacognitive beliefs about procrastination and decisional procrastination. 297 students have filled out a questionnaire measuring the metacognitive beliefs about procrastination, anxiety, time management, information processing, and decisional procrastination. Results show that only time management and anxiety mediate the relationship between metacognitions about procrastination and decisional procrastination.
Keywords: Decisional procrastination, metacognitive beliefs, learning strategies, anxiety, time management, information processing
