In 2007, an ecomuseum was founded in Parabiago (Milan, Italy) in an urban context characterized by inhabitants’ inability in feeling the value of the landscape. Through participation processes and cooperative learning, the promotion of duties, knowledge and resources of people, the large use of principles of subsidiarity and co-responsibility, the ecomuseum facilitated the work of the network; this network was able to know the landscape, to take care of it, to manage and regenerate it through cooperation agreements. The ecomuseum has tried not only to implement but also to inspire methodological, relational and social changes which, in turn, had contributed to modify the landscape
