The paper aims at exploring the elements that promote the women issue as a factor of development and cultural rise in Italy. The relation between women and Italian society is characterized by complex processes that highlight the transition from an emergency to a structural viewing of the phenomenon. Though this transition is not already achieved, neither the interrelationships that can produce a plural culture are defined. Starting from the theoretical framework that stresses the relation between cultural change and woman subjectivity, the paper shows the results emerged by interviews carried out to opinion leaders of four strategic fields (Institution; Associations; Journalism; Research) in order to understand the features of cultural change emerged by the analysis of women issue proposed by the interviewers.
