This article examines the results of a study concerning the relationship between the new generations and history, which was carried out in the years 2013-2016 among one thousand students from the Veneto high schools. The surveys offer a varied and at times contradictory picture of how history is studied in school, of students’ curiosity about the past, and of history’s usefulness in life.
