Margherita Spagnuolo Lobb underlines the importance of the ethical turn operated by Donna M. Orange in the world of psychoanalysis and of psychotherapy in general. She then applies this concept to Gestalt Therapy’s values. She thinks that values highlighted by D. Orange, like fallibilism and otherness, help us, Gestalt psychotherapists, to get rid of the narcissistic position and to adopt the ethics of otherness and of the field, that she calls Aes-thetic Relational Knowledge.

Keywords: Donna M. Orange, fallibilism, otherness, Aesthetic Relational Knowledge, field.
