The author developes some reflections upon relation between digital life and oblivion, starting from Il libro digitale dei morti (The Digital Book of the Dead) by Giovanni Ziccardi and the hypothesis of ineffaceable quality of digital traces. Considering digital revolution as the latest attempt of self-representation in human hystory, the aim is to understand in which mode perceptions of an hyper-connected world shape human relationship whith memory and oblivion. The author underlines the importance of the secret in constituting psychic life (Aulagnier, 1976) and the continous playing of presence and absence with the object that is the prerequisite for the creation of a transitional space (Winnicott, 1971). The author shows several ways in which the human need to read reality through different times and to build up experience through the work of oblivion appears in the analytic space with imagination, construction and emotions on digital life.
Keywords: Digital revolution, work of oblivion, memory, secret, temporality.
