Referring to models of young people’s positive development, the study analyzed the relationships between perceived self-efficacy on creative problem solving and eudaimonic well-being, defined as the actualizations of talents and potentials of the individual into the society (Ryff & Singer, 2008). 125 undergraduates coming from Rimini University Campus (m. age = 20.80; SD = 2.24) filled in the following questionnaires: PWB questionnaire on eudaimonic well-being (Ryff, 1989); questionnaire on the perceived efficacy on creative problem solving (Pastorelli et al., 2001). Results show that the presence of a high self-efficacy on creative problem solving constitutes a significant, positive predictor of eudaimonic well-being as global measure, as for the majority of its sub-components. Age on the contrary represents a negative predictor of eudaimonic well-being.
Keywords: Eudaimonic well-being, emerging adult, creativity, positive functioning.
