The promotion of projects for the reception of forced migrants in rural areas, fragile and marginal, has contributed to the development of unprecedented social dynamics and economic forms, which constitute "nested markets", characterized by values of solidarity, objectives of territorial development and resettlement, cooperation practices, networks articulated at local and translocal level, and supported by public intervention. Territorial sustainability linked to these paths is an open question. The article, after analyzing the role of policies aimed at the territorialization and decentralization of the reception system for refugees and asylum seekers in Italy, examines two experiences related to the Sprar in Calabria: Riace and Camini. The conclusions assess the sustainability of the projects considered, also in the light of legislative changes that signal a new phase in the policies of inclusion and reception of migrants.
Keywords: Refugees, reception, territorial development, nested markets, Spar.
