Inspired by neighborhood studies and neighborhood effect theories, this work investigates the possible relationship between collective social isolation and local resources. The paper re-traces the history of a district strongly characterized by public housing in Bologna through a contextualist paradigm and a conditional approach. The analysis, carried out through different research tools, aims at examining how socio-spatial isolation developed over time and can still influence inhabitants.
