In accordance to the 2018 GWI Global Wellness Institute Report, over the last years the wellness tourism has become increasingly significant in the mind of the tourists, over the last year this has become more significant. With a worldwiden expenditure of $639 billion, the tourism moves counts 292 million arrivals in Eu-rope (inbound and domestic) with an expenditure of $ 211 billion in Europe; 258 million arrivals in Asia, with an expenditure of $ 130 billion in Asia; 204 million arrivals in North America, with an expenditure of $ 242 billion in North America. This chapter presents the wellness tourism trend around the world with a focus on Italy.
