The article deals with the emergence of gender-based violence during the Covid-19 pandemic focusing on the work carried out on psychological support within the public service in Rome. The Covid-19 emergency has increased cases of domestic violence due to contagion containment measures. The author analyses the emergency in the emergency where the external aspects of the reality linked to Covid-19 affect both the concrete structure of the daily lives of women victims of violence as well as their internal structure. Particular attention is given to situations where psychotherapy invests in new aspects and questions itself in a new and profound way in light of what has happened and is happening. Objective, symbolic, collective elements intersect allowing interesting and fruitful reflections.
