The association between mental well-being during childhood and adolescence with well-being in adulthood is well established and it requires early preventive and well-being promo-tion interventions. This article reports the needs of adolescents in the Trentino region regarding the training skills considered most useful for their well-being: 49 students compiled a survey and 16 participated to a working group for validating a European programme on resilience (UPRIGHT project). The results of the survey reveal the importance of making plans and hav-ing goals for the future, working on the personal meaning of life, on nutrition, physical activi-ty, general health, on how to cope with the sense of loneliness and isolation. Results from the working group show the importance of a better communication with teachers and parents, the improvement of the classroom climate and the quality of interpersonal relationships.
Keywords: Resilience, mental well-being, adolescence, co-creation, mental disorder prevention, school interventions.
