For organizing and managing health services aiming at offering care for cancer diseases, an increasingly decisive contribution comes from screening programs for prevention. Nowadays qualified at ministerial level as essential health objectives, the results of the oncological screening programs in Italy, at territorial level, are provided partly by the local health authority (ASL - "Azienda Sanitaria Locale") and partly by the social-and-health district in charge. In this study, the social-and-health district no. 19 of the ASL Caserta is under analysis as research perimeter. After surveying the objectives, mapping the activities, and verifying the results, a systematic evaluation of the oncological screening programs in 2018 has been implemented, obtaining from this analysis an application methodology, in line with the "Deming Cycle", for pursuing continuous improvement in managing the performances and the oncological screening programs on the territory.
