Take care of BodyMind. Senior residences. During the lockdown, Retirement Homes have shown us our inability of holding together body and mental care. Those institutions have barricaded themselves in order to keep the virus out: by doing that they forgot about the mental health of their guests. It has never been taken into consideration that part of the medical team consists also of professional workers, but most important the families of the guests. Isolation due to Covid19 had shown that elders, without family and friends relations, let themselves go and die. Depression, caused by the isolation from everyone, has to be reconsidered as a factor in all of those deaths. We have to consider both mental and body cares to avoid new tragedies. To activate coordinated groups of doctors and families has to be the way in order to give back dignity to those people who choose to end their lives in those kinds of structures.
Keywords: Elders, institutions, group, coronavirus, conflicts.
