This article analyses the issues of racism and of discrimination. The following sec-tions introduce some sociological theories on the phenomena of colonialism and racism, in order to contextualize the considerations collected during my clinical ac-tivity with asylum seekers and refugees. One section is focused on the methodolog-ical approach, while another section is about some key aspects related to the expe-riences of racist discrimination - and how these experiences affect the body and the psychophysical wellbeing.
