The contemporary planetary condition, strongly marked by the effects of the coro-navirus pandemic, places us with extreme violence to a point of no return: the planet Earth is collapsing on itself. How can we observe and analyze the current reality? What is the relationship between the human and the non-human? And above all, is it possible to project its coexistence? This short text consists of an introduction to the figure and thought of Timothy Morton, one of the most interesting thinkers in the contemporary philosophical-ecological panorama, and a review of two of his books recently translated and published in Italian, Iperoggetti and Noi, esseri ecologici, in which the author opens us up to unfathomable and radical ecological perspectives.
Keywords: Ecology; coexistence; hyperobjects.
