The contribute contains a summary of a three-year research activity carried out as part of a project financed by the Ministry of Economic Development. The objective of the work is to verify the influence of topological configurations of companies, in a clustered or independent form, and typological in terms of different industrial sectors of their research, on the determinants of localization choice in urban areas. The empirical analysis concerned the urban area of Naples and the sample of companies analyzed was selected from the perspective of the regional business development strategy RIS3 (Research Innovation Smart Specialization Strategy) of the Campania Region for the full compliance between intervention lines of the mise call and regional ones.
