The article reconstructs the story of the Collezioni del Palladio, a publishing house founded in 1943 in Vicenza by the anti-fascist intellectuals Antonio Giuriolo, Mario Dal Pra and Licisco Magagnato, who had joined the ranks of the Partito d’Azione the previous year and from 8 September would be engaged in the Resistance. The Collezioni del Palladio conceived as a litmus test of the philosophical and ideological evolution, through contradictions and second thoughts, experienced during the war by many Italian intellectuals, as well as a point of arrival for the studies and interests of those who initiated them, as a turning point for lines of research that would soon be typical of other anti-fascist publishing houses, as part of the complex mosaic of the Partito d’Azione’s publications and as a field where paths of political transition, through the mediation, contamination and intertwining that editorial work implies and favours, can be investigated.
