The integration of migrants into new societies is a very complex process and recognition and identification with new cultural and value models is not always taken for granted. The loyalty to the traditional patriarchal model of many communities favors the social segrega-tion and discrimination of women with negative consequences on their health and, in particu-lar, on the sexual and reproductive health that is at the center of every woman's life. This can therefore become a good indicator of integration of cultural communities. Health workers today are facing new social challenges and health care for women victims of this type of culture is very difficult due to their difficulties in communicating and in accessing treatment and prevention.
Keywords: social integration; sexual and reproductive health; women; patriarchal cultures; so-cial and health workers; immigration.
