The article proposes the concept of the "frontiers of labor" to explore the migration poli-cies in the Central America-Mexico-United States region, through two case studies: the US H-2A program for the temporary recruitment of foreign agricultural workers from Mexico, the Mexican programs of temporary regularization for Central American migrants in transit. The research took place between March 2016 and May 2019, with a combination of mainly quali-tative techniques.
