The home as a material and psychic artefact of the world with the moral function of making happiness possible is what Coccia writes about in an essay that doesn’t involve architecture, but a multi-species philosophy that aims at making the whole planet a home, as the only possible way of survival. In ‘Philosophy of the home’ the philosopher focuses on the pieces that architecture usually loses in its translation from the invisible to the visible, bringing in the effects that the city, the technology revolution and the pandemic have impressed to the home, as strong and unregarded shaping presences, that demand our attention and recognition.
Keywords: making home; multi-species; metamorphosis.
