Starting from the elements that emerged within the AMiD-Access to Services from Migrants with Disabilities project, the first study on the issue of migrants with dis-abilities in Europe - promoted by the European Commission based on the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund -, the authors focus on some particularly crit-ical dimensions of the management system for the reception and inclusion of mi-grants with disabilities in Italy, such as the question of the lack of data flow, the discrepancy between formal guarantees and difficulties in effective access to care, the particular problematic nature of the statute of minors with disabilities and the phenomena of multiple discrimination that affect migrant women with disabilities. The authors then retrace some Italian experiences which, on the contrary, are char-acterized by the ability to promote forms of social inclusion in line with the rules and principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, ratified by Italy in 2009. Finally some elements of organization and innovation in hospitality are formulated.
Keywords: hospitality; inclusion; migrants with disabilities; humanitarian aids; emergency.
