We will present the results of a research whose general objective was to analyse the migra-tion dynamics and integration trajectory of new Italian migrants in Montreal. We will focus on the relationship between the new migrants and the territory in which they live, on the forms and modalities of this presence, and on the local impact, trying to answer some of the follow-ing questions: What are the criteria for choosing a country and a city, and how much does the ethnic dimension of neighbourhoods count today, compared to the past? Which social net-works are new Italian migrants able to activate at the different stages of their migration pro-cess?
