Suicidality, in terms of evaluation and management, is a complex and multifarious phenomenon and therefore cannot be traced back to any specific diagnostic category. It requires a dedicated space. This article tackles some historical and cultural developments of suicide to illustrate the fundamental contribution given by Marsha Linehan in effectively addressing preventative suicide risk.
