The article deepens the international action of the Italian veterans and their commitment to disarmament and peace, analyzing in particular the work of the Italian National Association of Disabled Ex Servicemen (Anmig) within the Fédération Mondiale des Anciens Combattants World Veterans Federa- tion (Fmac/Wvf). Starting from the end of the Second World War, the article covers the main stages of the international commitment of veterans and aims to understand the reasons and purposes of this commitment.
