The article aims to analyze the distributional dynamics of the foreign population in order to capture some peculiarities of ethnic residiential segregation in the Italian context. Specifically, the work focuses on the residential patterns of foreign population in light of the socioeconomic characteristics and property values of the neighborhoods in the Bologna case study. The evi-dence provided underscores the centrality of socioeconomic and class dimension in the analy-sis of the processes of peripheralization involving the immigrant population in the urban fab-ric.
