This paper starts from the link that Freud places between the uncanny and the language. Language as the pivot of the symbolic register constitutes the representative veil that allows the entity to manifest itself not as bare life, a contingent and inappropriable thing, but in the form of representation and image. However, the word can take on unexpected meanings that can favor the emergence of the uncanny. The invention of a politically correct language, in its ob-sessive and fundamentalist form, can be understood as a kind of treatment of the uncanny. Through clinical notes, the author proposes a question about a possible bending of psychoa-nalysis in a politically correct sense.
