The contribution examines the role of cooperatives as a form of migrant labour intermedia- tion in the agricultural and logistic sectors in Veneto. Extant research has highlighted the existence of “cooperatives of convenience” in several sectors, designed to facilitate compa- nies’ outsourcing processes, often resulting in precarious working conditions. The analysis delves into the specific operational modes of cooperatives in these two sectors. It highlights how these cooperatives – engaged in an intermediation relationship at the boundary of for- mality and informality, freedom and coercion – have become a distinctive form of interme- diation widespread in the labour market in Veneto.
