The different approaches to migration do not start from the economic system in which we are immersed. This leads to confuse the problem of migration away from seeing it as a problem inherent in capitalist production. The following work is based on the Marxist premise that the development of capital in certain regions, inside or outside countries, becomes a focus of attraction for individuals who only possess their workforce. Technification displaces the labor force, but also the little development in the productive forces causes that local labor is not absorbed. In the case of the Sierra Norte de Puebla, commercial crops fail to absorb labor, so that it becomes a potential reserve of labor for capitalist production. The migrato-ry phenomenon occurs permanently towards the interior of the country and to-wards the United States.
Keywords: Marxist; marginalization; labor; capitalism; Technification
