The article introduces some practical and theoretical concepts to demonstrate the deep impact of poetry exerts upon group analysis. Group analytic culture is cultivated and further elaborated by the direct access to the unconscious that the very essence of poetry provides. In many cases poetry gives a deeper and more permanent meaning in human communication and interaction. Aim of the group analytic poetry therapy is providing the delight of aesthetic experiences, the joy of the unfolding of the Eros instinct, the freedom to struggle with courage and creativity, the avoidance of vain entrapments and desperate compulsions for repetition, the deconstruction of the illusion of calmness, the reinvention of beauty and Metron.
