The case of Carla, a 12-year-old girl with chronic headaches, highlights how physical symptoms can be an expression of unprocessed emotional distress. This comment analyzes the case from a cognitive-behavioral perspective, proposing an alternative treatment hypothesis focused on cognitive restructuring, stress management techniques, and family intervention.
