The paper analyzes the influence of organizational processes and changes on industrial union relations within a highly digitalized corporate context. We investigated the reason behind an Italian company’s low level of unionization through a mixed methods approach and the use of action research tools. By reconstructing the intersubjective perspective on the company’s growth trajectory, the history of labor relations, the current organizational model, and future development prospects, the initial hypothesis was validated: the need for professional selfaffirmation through a process of rediscovering collective and organizational trust.
