To promote nautical tourism, the Sicilian Region enacted Law No. 6 of 25 February 2025, which regulates marina resorts, boat-and-breakfasts, and scattered nautical accommodations in the recreational tourist facilities sector. The article analyses these new forms of hospitality that utilize boats for purposes other than their traditional use as defined in the pleasure boating code.
