Two psychologists dialogue on human relations in present society, considering its social and cultural contexts. They develop a phenomenological description of historical changes in couple, family, group and political relationships. Following the post-modern metaphor of the relationship as "a raft with no helm", the two authors dialogue on the modified value of hu- man relationships in a society which is now less dominant than individual realms, on the new fears and new psychopathological experiences where to be individual means to be disconnected from the ground of security. The being in relation becomes then as a sacred space where the mind is born. The mind is considered a boundary event, so the need of a new relational alphabet emerges.
