Blacky Pictures’ Test in the evaluation of child sexual abuse. This exploratory research aims to evaluate the validity of Blacky Pictures’ Test to discriminate the self and family’s representations between 29 children, victims of sexual abuse, and the matched (for sex, age and social level) control group (children not victimized). Results, according to the child abuse literature, confirm the validity of the test. In particular, sexual abused children showed: self-representations more unstable and weak, parental representations more negative, greater instability and maternal idealization, affective negative emotions (especially sadness and guilt), sense of dirt, inability to repair, to stay alone and to tolerate ambivalence, and more sexual issues.
Keywords: Child sexual abuse, self representations, family representations, assessment, Blacky Pictures’ Test.
