The paper illustrates an overview of the main findings from the Third Italian Quality of work survey carried out by Isfol. After analyzing the theoretical framework of reference the methodology employed to operationalise the concept of quality of work and the main features of the survey, the results are displayed with reference to the dimensions in which the concept of quality of work has been articulated. Quality of work in Italy is in fact investigated by dimensions that means, through conceptually homogeneous groups of indicators. The outcome of this exercise is not a straightforward ranking of jobs according to their general quality, it is instead a mapping of diverse working situations related to different level of quality in the specific dimensions considered.
