Il volume testimonia lo sforzo compiuto nella Regione Umbria per realizzare le finalità della legge 11/2006 che prevedeva politiche regionali di diffusione, impiego e conoscenza di software FLOSS (Free Libre Open Source Software) come alternativa a quello proprietario. Sono quindi descritti problemi ed esperienze di migrazione verso software FLOSS condotte negli anni 2007-2012.

It describes the evolution of the European eGovernment and Public Communication scenarios, underling the importance of adopting an integrated approach that merges technical and organizational innovation.

This book deals with the theme of payment systems in Europe, where the payment systems are going to be regulated by new rules: the Payment Systems Directive (PSD), that should be adopted by the member countries by 2009, is converging with the banking industry selfregulation, the Single Euro Payment Area (SEPA) and both of them imply a basic policy revision in the actual banking system cost models.
