The very concept of pluralism is in itself plural. «Pluralism» is one of the most ambiguous terms in philosophical jargon and this paper is a first attempt to classify its meanings in the practical field of Ethics, i.e., in morals, politics, and law. Three great families of meanings can be distinguished: political pluralism, cultural pluralism (i.e. multiculturalism), and value pluralism, which might be the focal meaning today.
