Erectile dysfunction (DE) is not only an evidence of diffuse atherosclerosis, but it also an index of early endothelial damage. We investigated cerebrovascular reserve in patients with isolatded DE (DE+) and controls (DE-). In this study we evalueted 15 DE+ patients and 15 DE- subjects, matched for age and vascular risk factors, submitting them to a combined uro-andrological and neurological investigations. The rusults had showed just a reduced vasomotor reserve in our DE patients and it may then rappresent a potential marker of early cerebral vasomotor dysfunction due to subclinical endothelial damage. But, to date, this aspect does not justify neurological investigations in patients with DE. Key words: Erectile dysfunction, Cerebrovascular Reserve.
