In 2008 the suicide prevention project "Invito alla vita" starts in Trentino, promoted by Azienda Provinciale per i servizi sanitari (Health Service) and managed, throughout a convention, by Ama Salute mentale Association. Many subjects are involved, either institutional or non institutional, either sanitary or social. They all work together to increase awareness and ensure a proper information about the phenomenon, to reduce stigma about it. Among all the actions undertaken two efficient tools of prevention have been carried out: a helpline, 24/24hours and self help groups for people who have attempted suicide and familiars for people who have lost their life because of suicide.
