This article defines some requirements of "processes and methods for public participation", understood as deliberative democracy instruments to support political representation system and of decision making. The context relates to policies and experiences in Veneto region and of Italian context (some notes will be shown of European and non-European cases). Other information will be presented about Tuscany and Emilian participatory experience, as well on urbanistic experiences in Veneto.
