Love for a humanistic society. It is almost preposterous, or at least bold and hasty, to speak of "love" and "Eros" in academic milieus and scientific publications, in which predominate "methodological rigour" and "evidence based practice" inherent to the experimental model. The present essay wishes to take up that challenge, or to lay down such gauntlet, advocating for a neohumanism capable of integrating such a life force within an enlarged and holistic epistemological conception. However, that not through an apologetic and bombastic celebration of the "power" of the Human, but recognizing instead the weakness of our being in the world, not to be read in nihilistic terms, nor as an obstacle to the unfolding of human aspirations, but, rather, as a stepping stone towards unchartered horizons, promising both in epistemological and existential terms. Within such a view, there will be room for a proactive paradigm, generative, open, multifaceted, multidimensionally scientific and rational, capable of producing a recomposition or a healthy/holy alliance between conceptual-cognitive frameworks and the emotional-affective sphere, in order to fuel a passionate and poetic neohumanism.
Keywords: Love, eros, pedagogy, neohumanism, passions, knowledge, affectivity, ethics, re-sponsibility, wellbeing, poetry.
