Freire proposes a radical pedagogy for the emancipation of marginalized individuals. Activism characterizes not just his intellectual thinking, in a continuous exchange between theory and praxis, but also his biographic itinerary, intertwined with the history and politics of his country, Brazil, and other nations, especially in the global south, where he was committed as an education expert. In this perspective, social change has a pedagogical root: this implies that the transformation of social injustices requires an educational commitment.
