The trainer of the second year of the Specialization course in Relational Psychotherapy, on his return from isolation caused by COVID-19, offered the group an experience outside the training room. The lesson was divided into three moments, linked by a common thread: imprisonment. From a perspective of complexity, this training experience worked on several levels at the same time: individual, couple and group, in a synchronic and diachronic dimension, within an ecosystem framework. This experience also wanted to propose a reflection on the future of relational psychotherapy training, starting from the need to relate the relational systemic model, macrosystem, setting and surrounding world.

Keywords: training, relationship, context, therapist, group.
