Borachia and Santi, with intense industriousness at all scales of the project, were key figures within the architectural-urban planning debate and post-war Italian design. The study of the documents preserved in the Borachia-Santi Collection deposited in Politecnico di Milano, DAStU Archives allows us to draw not only an initial assessment of their activity, carried out among prestigious assignments and professional recognitions, but highlights the relevance of their cultural reflection, expression of a close interconnection between thought, project and action. A substantial part of the archive is inherent to urban planning, but the architectural part is equally important which, due to its complexity and design quality, shows a clear territorial and environmental value. The full and critical knowledge of their prolific and multifaceted activity establishes them, outside the spotlight, as notable exponents of the second half of the Italian twentieth century.
