The fourth report on the quality of clinical outcomes in Italian hospitals has been prepared using the same methodological approach as the first report, by comparing data from Lombardy with data from other regions, and data from the public and private providers that make up the National Health Service.
This study confirms the Fondazione Sanità Futura’s commitment to continue evaluating the quality of hospital care provided by the Italian Regional Health Systems, with the technical collaborati on of the Innogea Society and using the official data published by Agenas in the PNE editi on of 2023.
With the scientific collaboration of the Pavia Consortium for Postgraduate Studies in the Health Area, Confindustria Lombardia Sanità e Servizi and Aiop Lombardia.

The Fondazione Sanità Futura is committ ed to ensuring continuity in the analysis and evaluati on of trends in the main volume and clinical outcome indicators, while taking into account factors that may affect data homogeneity from year to year (which is crucial for correctly evaluating trends).
The specific objective of the studies is to provide public institutions and public and private hospitals with useful evaluation criteria to help them design and implement improvement strategies based on critical issues and opportunities identifi ed by comparing different territories and health service providers.
