Italian public historical-artistic heritage takes the role of the laboratory to investigate the complex link between urban protection, valorisation and retraining. Starting from the nodal issues of value co-creation through mapping of stakeholders, memory, financing mechanisms, and achievement of the management equilibrium, the paper proposes a methodological approach applied to the case of the former balneospa Carlo Alberto in Acqui Terme in Piedmont. The theoretical remarks of the economic theory of value and the Service-Dominant Logic approach constitute the premises for experimentation, which has used preliminary verification tools to support the choice and analysis of economic-management feasibility.
Keywords: Historical and artistic public property; total economic value; Service-Dominant Logic
