Dissociation and metacognition are necessary and interdependent steps of mind’s structure and knowledge’s process. Some psychopathological phenomena, could derive from an unbalance in direction of a strong dissociation between these two ways to work of mind. The present paper exposes the thesis that the cyberworld, looked as a parallel world that doesn’t produce cognitive attrition in the fluid oscillation between the inside and outside dimensions, could be used as place of alteration of the experience, that facilitates the defensive dissociation between subjective and objective interpretation, becoming, for some people predisposed by a deficit of the relationship of primary attachment, the occasion for chance to live a compensatory-defensive experience. Keywords: dissociation, cyberspace, metacognition.
