Language as an instrument of conquest - In the author’s view language is an instrument of conquest, always carrying values, culture and a way of thinking and living. Discussing the differences between language and dialect, he analyses a number of expressions which confirm the identity content of dialects. He concludes with a discussion of the relationship between language and territory.
