The article presents an experience about a therapeutic group for poliabusers in the Addiction Department in Pordenone. In the premises the authors report some information about the increase of the phenomenon of poliabuse and about the group therapy function for addictive patients. Then the features and the main results of the group experience "Liberamente" are described. The Millon III and the Cloninger Temperament and Character Inventory (TCI) were used as initial and final test to assess the six month’s therapy group impact. The Millon III self-administration highlights the achievement of a better level of personal well-being, an improved self-esteem and more positive relational attitudes. TCI results reveal a meaningful decreasing in Novelty Seeking attitude and an increased score in Self-Directedness dimension. At the end the article underlines the advantages and the limits of this experience, and suggests some constructive provocations for the growth and the renewal of Addiction Public System.
